Banning Picasso at the Lapin Agile, part 15...on the radio

I'll be appearing live on the OPB radio talk show "Think Out Loud" this Thursday morning at 9:00 am. Not quite sure what to expect but my reason for accepting the invitation has to do with my intention to enlarge this conversation from one about the merits of this particular play to one about the way in which we view the role of the arts in education. We'll see if that opportunity presents itself.

I think I'll be able to listen to the show online after it airs. It seems like they archive the shows' audio on their website, and I'm hoping that will be the case for tomorrow. If not, I will be excusing myself for an hour or so tomorrow during school...

They have also been running recorded rebroadcasts of the morning shows over the radio at 9pm the same night -- which is how I am going to have to catch it, given that I have a court appearance at 9am Thursday

You can download it from iTunes as a podcast. It's usually posted fairly quickly.

We'll be listening, whether real time, on line, archived, podcast, rebroadcast, transcribed, etc. I'm glad you are a mature, serious person addressing this and not given to snark and sarcasm like a lot of us (as in this still may not resonate with the don't think too much, much less out loud crowd)and have decades of putting kids and education first. You will do your cause proud.

Mr. Cahill, your commentary on OPB's show this morning was simply brilliant. I admire your thoughtful position on this issue. If I were the parent of a high school student in La Grande, I would be honored to have you teach him or her. Keep fighting the good fight.

Mom said you were great this morning on the radio. I missed it (Structural Geology exam) but I'm headed to the website right now:)
